Meteorologists address flood concerns during Flash Flood Awareness Week

The National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration and the Lower Colorado River Authority said today that the chances for flooding in Central Texas this year are above average because this year is an El Nino year. Local and National organizations have been talking about flooding this week because it is National Flood Awareness Week. NOAA says about 100 people die in floods every year.
